Our first priority is simple: give Greta every possible chance to grow up.
Pursuing a personalized treatment for one child has required Greta's family to navigate science, specialists, experimental therapies, regulatory pathways, insurance, funding and an enormous amount of uncertainty. The Greta Initiative exists to help make that path possible for Greta — and to capture what we learn along the way.
Why this initiative exists.
When a child's cancer keeps returning, families are often forced to become researchers, advocates, fundraisers and care coordinators overnight.
All while caring for a sick child. Greta's family has been doing that for years. Now we're bringing the people, resources and funding around them in a more intentional way.
What we're trying to do.
Fight for Greta
Fund the scientific, medical and regulatory work required to pursue a personalized mRNA vaccine designed around Greta's tumor.
Build the network
Bring together researchers, physicians, biotech companies, funders, advocates and others who can help move personalized treatment from possibility to reality.
Share what we learn
Document the process, resources, questions, roadblocks and lessons so other families facing rare and recurrent childhood cancers don't have to start from zero.
One family should not have to figure all of this out alone.
Personalized medicine is moving quickly. But access can still depend on whether a family happens to find the right researcher, the right doctor, the right lab, the right funding — and finds them in time.
We want to help close that gap. Not by pretending we have all the answers, but by documenting the path as we find them.

The exact path may evolve as the science and regulatory process progresses. Funds raised will support the work required to pursue a personalized treatment for Greta.
For Greta's family, personalized medicine isn't an abstract conversation about the future of cancer treatment. It's happening now. The science is moving. The tools exist. The challenge is connecting them quickly enough, safely enough and affordably enough to help the child who needs them.
Greta comes first.
